Professor Palladium, an Elf who teaches at Alfea.

Elves are magical creatures who have light- or darkness-based powers.

Overview

They originate from the Elven Kingdom (or possibly the Athryell Dimension) and are deeply connected to nature. There are also Dark Elves who exist in the Legendarium World. According to Palladium, they originated from their underworld and are capable of great cruelty.

Appearance

Palladium converging all of his students' magic to construct a new magical barrier.

The elves look like human beings but with pointed ears and long straight hair, as well as a feminine appearance for both male and female elves, though Professor Palladium's appearance became more masculine in Season 2.

The dark elves dress in darker clothing; Stella had also mentioned that they are beautiful.

Magical Abilities

Elves have light-based powers whereas dark elves have darkness-based powers. They can do convergence and some elves are shown to wield a magic scepter, like Athris.

Trivia

• Elves were supernatural beings with a human-like appearance and magical powers from Scandinavian folklore who in later periods became associated with Fairies in popular legends.
  • More recently, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings books made Elves important protagonists of fantasy fiction and portrayed them as having human-like appearance but also fairer, wiser, and closer to nature than humans.
    • The appearance and light-based powers of Elves in Winx Club seems to have been inspired from the Elves from The Lord of the Rings books of J.R.R. Tolkien.
