The Alfea Champions were an ancient trio of legendary fairies who were believed to be the most powerful fairies in all of Magix history. Their feats have been known to be passed down through generations, and had been recorded in Legendarium. They only appeared in "Legendary Duel".

History[]

The Alfea Champions were famous fairies who have achieved so many feats. They are a group of three fairies: Ress of the Flame, Chevonne of the Water and Farcelia of the Wind. According to Daphne, they are the strongest fairies in Magix history, so strong that they refused to bond with the pixies. They were mentioned in the Legendarium:

“Three famous fairies, whose feats have been passed on from generations.”

Appearance[]

Ress of the Flame[]

Ress is a tan-skinned fairy with butt-length dark-orange hair that has hair pulled behind her head where it is tied and dark-orange eyes.

Her dress is mainly orange. Her top is hanged on her neck. She has armlets and bracelets. She also wears an orange skirt that is below the knee.

Chevonne of the Water[]

Chevonne is a light-blue-skinned fairy with floor-length dark-blue hair tied in a half ponytail in the back with a single hair strand hanging in the front and dark-blue eyes.

Her dress is mainly bluish-purple, where she wears a long strapless blue gown and has cloth hanging on her arms.

Farcelia of the Wind[]

Farcelia is a light turquoise-skinned fairy with mid-back length turquoise hair tied back with bangs swept on either side and dark-turquoise eyes.

Her dress is mainly light turquoise. Her dress is tied onto a ring on her neck, and it shows her belly button. She also has armlets and bracelets. Her skirt is just above the knee. Some excess cloth from the skirt is at the back. She wears anklets and no footwear.

In the "Legendary Duel", Selina unleashed the Alfea Champions to defeat the fairies of Alfea, but with the Alfea fairies bonding with the Pixies, they were able to defeat the Alfea Champions.

Magical Abilities[]

Like ordinary fairies, the Alfea Champions can fly and they possess powerful elemental abilities:

Ress has the ability to shoot blazing flames.
Chevonne is able to shoot water from her hands.
Farcelia can create strong tornadoes.

They may also know first-level spells that fairies know, such as telekinesis, transmuting objects and fixing minor messes.

Weakness[]

If other fairies are bonded with pixies, they could overpower the Champions of Alfea as they refused the bondings of the pixies.

Etymology[]

Chevonne[]

The name Chevonne means "God is gracious".^[1]
- It is of Irish origin and the variations of Siobhán^[1] and Shavonne^[2], although the former is the phonetic variation.

Trivia[]

The story of the Alfea Champions is the only myth about fairies featured in the Legendarium.
The Alfea Champions are the last legendary creatures summoned by Selina.
- They also might be considered as dark fairies since they were summoned by Selina.
The Alfea Champions do not have any speaking lines, but they make grunting sounds.
The Alfea Champions have a striking resemblance with the nine Nymphs of Magix, powerful guardians of the Dragon's Flame.
- Although not confirmed, it is possible that they were a part of the original Nine.
- Their similarities include:
  - Both the three Champions of Alfea and the nine Nymphs of Magix had been described as the strongest fairies in all of magic history, and both apparently came from Magix.
  - Both Daphne and the three Champions had elemental powers; while each of the Champions had powers over one of the three elements of the Fire (Ress), Water (Chevonne), and the Air (Farcelia) respectively, Daphne mastered all of them, including the Element of Earth, despite her main nymph firepower which she shared in common with Ress.
