Ring of Solaria (Ring Form) - Episode 101

The Ring of Solaria (also known as the Sword of Power, Sword of Solaris, Sword Ring, or Solaria Scepter) is a magical item introduced in Season 1.

Overview[]

It can be turned into a scepter that Stella usually uses to help cast spells, or teleport herself and other people to a certain place.

Appearance[]

Original[]

It is cyan blue. When it is in its ring form, it is a ring with a sun-shaped circle. Same goes with the scepter form, except it is now much bigger and instead of the ring there is long staff with the sun-shaped circle being on its top.

Specials[]

The base is cyan blue. It has six orange jewel spheres on top - one in a middle and other five around it forming a pentagon. While transformed in a scepter it has a cyan blue sphere on top of it, but instead of the big wheel alike ring around it, it has six orange jewel spheres, once again - one in a middle and five around it forming the pentagon. On outside there is also five small spheres attached to the bigger ones.

Trivia[]

  • Chimera is seen wielding a scepter in several episodes. It is important to note this scepter is not the actual “Sword of Solaris”. There is several clear indications of this shown throughout the series:
    • It is always seen in scepter form even when it has no reason to be.
    • Its drastically different color scheme to how the ring looks, especially since we see Stella with the ring in the same season.
    • The ring has been shown in the possession of the Trix and Knut, yet retained the same form as it did with Stella.
    • Stella is seen having it in her possession in season 3 so it is unlikely Chimera would be able to get her hands on it.
    • When Chimera confronted Stella at the wedding Stella mentioned she and her scepter were not up to the challenge of taking her place. Had it been the actual sword ring Stella would have likely made a comment on it. Likely, the line would have been you and my scepter.
    • Considering Stella shattered Chimera's scepter it is a clear sign it is not real given the sword ring was forged from the Dragon Flame and as a result is nigh indestructible. Much like the power it was forged from. Stella also would not straight up destroy it even if she could as she is shown to care about the ring/scepter and it is her birthright and a family heirloom.
    • Chimera has no right to the throne and as part of the regalia of Solaria it goes to the heir to the throne. Neither Cassandra nor Radius could justify granting the ring (and by extension the kingdom at some point in the future) to someone outside the royal bloodline without people getting suspicious.
  • The ring was redesigned solely for the Nickelodeon Specials, thus, its original appearance is retained when Season 3 of the Nickelodeon dub was aired.
  • The Ring of Solaria Fatelink is featured in Fate: The Winx Saga. However, the ring only works as a key to unlock gateways between locations.
