@FlamePhoenix Excuse me, if I may, but I want to speak as one the people you mentioned: This Wikia is not low-quality, which is great, but The "Winx-verse" is - although a children's show - filled up to brims with mysteries and fantastical elements, which is very attractive and created needs of documenting and organising pieces of information to help explaining things. That is what The Wikia most likely should be for. People surely would like to discuss things in place like this, but administration went some other way, I see.. As an amateur Winxologist I found this place very useful, and although I tend to be very understanding - you can believe it or not - in need for information that I recall specified within the Franchise, lacking time or ways of achieving data myself, or just trying to remember, I used to traverse in here years ago, and I still keep on finding repetetive problems:
- more often than not, I stumble on details which - maybe because I tend to hae a lot of things from the Franchise, like, imprinted in my head - I remember very well as inaccurate{and while knowing proper "substitute terms"} or surprisingly counter-intuitive
- additional problems bear themselves, when I find vague details which I initially can't work out myself, especially that I haven't seen all the english, neither Original versions, I am not a native, and if will never be lucky enough to find the answer in my version, I would have to keep on bothering the editors and administrators, from where did they acquire them... I don't think it's necessarily a sign references are very needed: TvTropes is highly respected Wikia which doesn't use them, but they require that entries added to their articles shall be clear to someone unfamiliar with a chosen piece by explaining them to prove the point in the entry - there happen to be questionable{i.e.: either fitting or not} entries or wrong ones, especially if the very requirements aren't met..they are surprisingly scarce, in my experience, and are supposed just to hint where one should verify them. Since the Wikia herein doesn't focus on differences globally, I say I actually got better results verifiying things myself and taking this Wikia only as questionable supplement [the only dub that proves very reliable, so far, was the one of The S7 [and cultural differences are one of the most ignored issues....]].
- a problem related with the first point is that this Wikia tends to be way too lazy and formulaic:
- for example, Spells in here tend to look pretty laic, and, surprisingly often, instead of at least trying to describe what a spell appears/is supposed to do, editors try to fit it into some uniform description of just its LOOKS, which can be proven wrong very easily, as what the spell will do and its shapes are decided by a caster or some interferences. This is worse if the spell has got more than a single appearance [I'm starting to think, categorising their types is also quite ineffective, because not even mentioning The Winx can their defenses to attack, the two types overlap more than once, and there are also Special and Strategic spells...The former name is used in The Show pretty differently - and they still can overlap with the two - and pretty much any spell can be used strategically, I think..]
- personally, it bugs that if there's no questioning whether a spell failed or not is treated just as "take-in-or-take-out".
- not sure if that's a case with templates in general, but trying "one-fits-all format" tends to make things looks strange or we don't know such details about a character, because they are just some 'normal teen', and it just makes some creative, but odd-looking writing e.g. the label 'Professional Status' for the Winx' Pets or Mitzi - would it be too much of a problem to try omitting or at least changing name of the label in some places ?
- some things can be very simply reasoned, but this Wikia prefers to present them as "a big unknown" although it can make surprisingly self-confident assertions about some ambiguous things (like some I listed above)
- the formula "may know some basic spells(...)" is especially absurd, and completely out of place when talking about a main antagonist. It almost makes me cringe and sounds like a very bad joke at best.
- another notable thing is adding an unbased detail about things allegedly lasting for a period of few Seasons, e.g. Bloom possessing healing Powers only during 2 seperate Seasons (and not only Faragonda stated they are directly connected to basic features of Bloom's Power, but this approach is blatantly proved to be wrong - as in connection with Fairy Forms - in The 8th Season). Yes, we not always see it in there, but it doesn't mean it necessarily doesn't exist (like Faragonda's enchantix, for one) or turned into nothingness.
- connected to the 1st point: we can guess and name all the powers we suspect users possess, but we can't theorize, with anything else [I remember from my personal experience, only making small, and easy to correct edits, and one being reverted with a message "let's say, you're wrong", I'm trying to explain the case with the messenger, but combining this with being blocked from editing after a sum of 2-3 edits, I got successfully discouraged from trying to make any edits].

- spreading fanon as canon - it surely happened in past, and things that are averted by canon happenings sometimes were distributed in here as a respectable and, expectedly, knowledgable "database". Cases like calling enchantix the "gate transformation" to other Fairy Forms, and fan-names like '(Magic+/)Winx' being treated as canon facts created many years of disinformation and arguments full of confusion. I know it for myself that it is hard to stop repeating the error one got once thaught to be a fact...
- special mention goes to 4kids: their 'version" is almost nonexistent internationally, and it's as canonical as any fanfiction, but here it's not even DISTINGUISHABLE from the actual Series thankyousomuch.
- opinions - these really take away from serious, "wikipedian", encyclopedic character of this base of data, and so, they should be avoided if possible, unless it would about adding more neutral discussion about valtor's influence one the fandom, for instance. Opinions trend to be biased and inviting arguments, as they are not, stricte, facts, and may create irrational and dumb statements, like, Acheron being weakest villain (while He technically remains the only one to be never defeated, apparently made himself immune even to that new Dragon Flame, and he took ALL magic - minus the Winx' Flames - away from the Magical Dimension just because He could (and this is not even mentioning he seemingly created or connected a Dimension seperate from the Magical one..)) .
All of these used to make... repulsed from browsing the Wikia. Now I need to compare and clash what I read in here with my own knowledge to draw conclusions, but it also taught me something. On positive note, 'Personality' sections tend to be really good and are sure a great idea, and some of things here changed for better. Note: these are my problems I encounter, but I'm not necessarily advising to get rid of them - I've just listed, tried to point out them and to find a way to overcome them.
