Overview

Not to be confused with Bloomix.

Gloomix is a power-up introduced in Season 2.

Overview[]

In order for the Trix to be able to defend themselves during their escape of the Fortress of Light, Darkar bestowed Gloomix upon them, giving them a boost. It is magically opposed to Charmix.

Appearance[]

Gloomix takes the form of a glowing necklace or arm cuff with a single gem on the end that assume the respective shades of the wearer. In "The Phoenix Revealed," when Darkar betrays the Trix and sends them to Oblivion, they merge together into a single form and three more Gloomix jewelry pieces that can be seen on them: a yellow hip adornment and two yellow leg bracelets.

Magical Abilities[]

Being made from Darkar's magic, Gloomix amplifies the magic of its user exponentially. It also allowed the Trix to fuse into one single entity. This single entity has the ability to manipulate ice and trap its enemies within it. It can also fly and send blasts of magic energy toward their enemy or catch him with their hair. It is implied that the entity may have the abilities of all three of the Trix. It is also likely its power source is dark magic.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Gloomix" is derived the word "gloom," meaning "darkness, dimness, or obscurity".
  • So far, Gloomix, Dark Sirenix, and Super Trix are the only witch powers/levels that are named.
    • Gloomix and Super Trix are specific to the Trix.
      • With Gloomix, it is uncertain if this is a natural progress in witch levels, since the Trix were given Gloomix by Darkar himself.
      • Super Trix is the merging of the Trix and their ancestors.
  • Gloomix, Amplified Form and Shape-Shifting Witch are the only Witch Forms to not make an appearance in the comics.
  • Gloomix was originally intended to be a fully distinct form separate from the base level. It's design was deemed to provocative and was thus rejected, leaving only the glowing jewellery in the final version.[citation needed]
