The Rebellion is the sixty-first issue of the Winx Club Comic Series.
Synopsis[]
The Winx decide to spend their vacation at Tecna's home realm, where they meet an old friend of Tecna's named Iris and get used to having robots do everything for them. It later turns out that Iris had called Tecna back to Zenith because she fears that the robots may be planning to rebel against their creators! Things take a turn for the worse as the robots of the realm agree with Multimax, the spark of the uprising, and follow his lead; leaving the rest of Zenith in darkness.
Plot[]
The story begins on Zenith, Tecna's home planet, where the girls are spending their holidays. All the girls marvel at the advanced technology that the main city has, while Tecna tells them some curious facts. She tells them she is surprised that they have accepted her invitation and that even on vacation they are all together. Stella replies that it is because they are the Winx, the best group. The girls arrive at the restaurant where Tecna had made the reservation, one of the most popular in the city, where a conveyor belt takes them to the place. Upon entering the entrance, they pass through an area with a scanner and Stella notices that the ground is soft, so Tecna reveals that it is actually a scale that analyzes the metabolism of the clients who enter, in order to make a nutritional recommendation according to each person.
The Winx sit down and a waiter serves them, asking them if they want to follow the scanner analysis or if they prefer to order as they like. Flora says yes but Stella asks for a piece of cake, joking that the robot will throw her out for not following the analysis. Suddenly, Tecna's cell phone rings. It turns out that the caller is Tecna's old friend, Iris, who tells her that she needs help. The rest of the Winx want to know why Tecna seems so worried, to which she explains everything and adds that her friend lives in a city with even more technology. The Winx go there and Tecna's friend welcomes them in a large building, full of guards and robot servants. The girl introduces herself as Iris, the daughter of Count Tecnezio. A robot luggage carrier scares Stella, but Iris calms her down and explains that her father loves everything related to technology and they have robots for most jobs, so humans do almost nothing.
Iris shows the girls the apartment where they are going to stay in, and then explains to them that the robots analyze, examine, and carry out their tasks without needing to rest, so they now depend a lot on them. Stella is amazed when the luggage robot from earlier guesses her favorite shampoo, to which Iris replies that a scanner analyzed the molecules in her hair from the shampoo she used previously. Tecna's friend explains to them that robots have a great memory and that is why in that city all the inhabitants have a personal assistant. Iris introduces them to hers, a human-like robot named Memox. The assistant surprises Stella and Musa by saying current things about their tastes and personal situations, respectively. After the robot has gone to check the accounts, Stella notices that Memox was looking at Iris in a strange way and comments to Bloom, although Bloom instructs her to remain silent. Tecna asks Iris why she asked for help, so her friend begins to tell what happened.
Iris explains that she believes there is a rebellion, it all started last week, when one of the newest models of defense robots, with a highly developed artificial intelligence, a robot called Multimax, refused to turn itself off when the scientists who created it ordered it to turn off. Iris says that he proclaimed that he was a living being, like a human being, confronting the scientists and fleeing the laboratory. Iris says that Multimax escaped, they are looking for him but now many other robots have joined him. Tecna asks if Memox would be able to join the rebellion, but Iris replies with a no, he would not be able to harm a human. As proof, he shows the Winx a notebook with poems written by Memox. Tecna asks what her father thinks about all this, but Iris replies that he is undecided and that he has notified the army to protect the population in case there were clashes. Tecna calms her down and tells her that the Winx will help solve the problem. Iris leaves until dinner time, leaving the Winx to debate the situation.
Stella quickly mentions how Memox looks at Iris, and although Musa tries to talk about technology, Stella insists that there is something between Memox and Iris. To calm her down, Bloom throws a pillow at Stella, thus starting a pillow fight between the girls. Some time later, the girls are reading in the living room, when suddenly, the power goes out and Stella comes out of the shower with her hair still wet. Iris appears and announces to the girls that the rebellion has begun and that all the robots have fled into the mountains, including Memox. Iris adds that now that there are no robots, humans have to do everything themselves, like cooking. The Winx go to the kitchen and start preparing things, although Stella forgot the chicken in the oven and burns it completely. She tries to fix it with magic, but the taste is still just as bad, so she decides she is going to go to the pantry to put out the pots and pans because she does not want to do the scrubbing. Tecna comments that at least this way they can cook in peace.
The night falls. Iris is struggling because she's thinking about Memox when suddenly he appears! Iris screams in surprise but Memox asks her to lower her voice because he has escaped from where the rest of the robots are and claims that he has to return immediately because otherwise they will suspect him. Memox comments that the robots are hidden in the mountains and following Multimax's orders, although he is trying to convince them not to fight the humans, but to collaborate with them. The robot explains to Iris that robots are much more powerful and stronger than humans and that he has come to warn her to flee from there, although he is discovered by some robot guards sent by Multimax. Memox agrees to go with Multimax without resistance. To Iris's desperate screams, the Winx wake up, and she explains to them what just happened. Stella suggests that they notify the army, but Tecna replies that they won't do anything for a robot. She decides that all the Winx will go after Memox, although Iris also wants to join because Memox has helped her a lot, so Stella and Bloom conjure a hot air balloon.
Together they fly towards the mountains, where they find the robots' hiding place thanks to the fact that Tecna manages to detect the magnetic field they generate. They begin to search for the prison and although they manage to find it, they do not know how to enter, until Tecna comes up with the idea of pretending to be one of the robots who captured a human spy. The Winx return to their civilian forms as Tecna transforms into a robotic version of herself, holding Iris hostage, her hands gently bound with some Flora's vines. They both manage to infiltrate and begin looking for Memox. They find him in one of the cells, but he is talking to the guards and has convinced them that violence is not the solution. Tecna and Iris are discovered, but Memox indicates that they are his friends and the guard robots stop threatening them. Memox explains that he reasoned with them and now they understand his opposition to Multimax. The Winx reunite and all the robot guards are now on Memox's side. Stella comments that it won't be so easy to convince Multimax, but Memox responds that even they have enough intelligence to solve it in the best way. Memox leaves to talk to Multimax. The group of robots escorting Memox distracts those who were stationed at Multimax's door, so Memox manages to enter to where Multimax is.
Meanwhile, the Winx transform again, placing speakers all over the place so everyone can hear the conversation. In this way, all the robots discover that Multimax wants to bring them together only because he wants to command all of them. All the robots break into the grotto where Multimax and Memox were talking, Multimax tries to arrest those who oppose him but his guards are also in favor of Memox. Multimax congratulates the Winx on the idea, and Iris comments that they should return to the city to tell their father the news. A report appears on television explaining everything that happened, adding that now the robots will be able to live on their own or return to where they lived with humans. Now Memox has become Count Tecnezio's secretary, so he has to say goodbye to Iris but assures her that they will always be good friends and that he will always take care of her. Stella is disappointed with these words, but Tecna says that no matter what the future holds, no matter if it is love or friendship, it will surely be something good.

Trivia[]
- Iris, Tecna's childhood friend, shares her name with many characters and one planet.
- The Zenith here looks completely different from its main series counterpart. In the comics, it is much more futuristic, city-like and appears to be warmer whereas in the series, though it does have tall buildings, it is much more spacious and certain areas are cold and some are warm.
