Limbo is a place introduced in Season 7.

Overview

Limbo is a dimension that exists outside of time and can be used as a prison. Portals to Limbo can generate limbs and pull their target inside, ensuring that they cannot escape.

Series

In "The Power of the Fairy Animals," the Winx use the Stones of Memories to open the portal to Limbo. When the portal opens, the realm itself acts consciously as it extends limbs and captures the Trix.

In "Valtor's Shadow," Valtor frees the Trix from this time-space prison and asks them for help.

Trivia

"Limbo" is defined as "any in-between place, state or condition of neglect or oblivion which results in an unresolved status, delay or deadlock".
- In many religions, planes of existence deemed "limbo" are described as those of waiting and/or torment in between heaven and hell.
This is the only place in which the Trix were captured for good. In the previous four places which were Lightrock Monastery, the Omega Dimension, the Prison of Andros, and the Legendarium World, they were freed by a major antagonist.
- This no longer holds true as of the episode "Valtor's Shadow," as the Trix have been broken out of Limbo by Valtor.
