Mazakis is a character featured exclusively within the Winx Club Comic Series. He is the father of Darko and a former member of the Ice Kingdom’s court before being outed for his shady dealings. He makes his debut in Issue 28 where it is revealed that he fled to Magix with his family to seek refuge from his many enemies.
Appearance[]
He has white and grey hair held back by a red elastic. He has fair skin, and dark eyes.
Civilian[]
He wears a button up shirt with a red collar and around the shoulders. He wears red pants, and shoes that match the color of the rest of his top.
Coat[]
He wears a red coat with a high collar. He pants are bright red, he has dark blue shoes on, and a shirt that matches his civilian one.
Personality[]
A powerful but wanted man for his shady dealings during his time as one of the main counselors of the Ice Kingdom's Royal Court, Mazakis is incredibly cautious and difficult person. At the same time, he is selfish, a workaholic and neglectful parent whose actions has led to his son, Darko pining for his attention and love that he would outright do outrageous things solely for it. Mazakis is power hungry and greedy, willing to extort his own son to achieve that, for instance when Darko mentioned that there are many princesses attending Alfea. Without considering his son's opinion on these princesses, he roughly grabs him, and tells him the benefits of marrying a princess. These benefits are only for himself rather than his son's.
For anything he deems worthless, he acts without hesitation and is cruel. He hired a team of assassins to rid Icy because she had a leash on Darko and was not beneficial to him (Mazakis).
Pre-Series[]
Mazakis had attained the position of first counselor to the Ice Kingdom's Royal Court. His position would allow his son, Darko to play with the Trix. But at some point Mazakis chose to conduct shady dealings led him to being disgraced and removed from his position.

Season 2[]
Mazakis scolds Darko for his irresponsibility.
He is only mentioned by Icy who tells Darcy and Stormy why Darko is here in Magix. Basically, Mazakis was seeking refuge here.
Mazakis learns about Darko's girlfriend.
He makes his physical debut in Issue 28: Witch Love, in which his berates Darko for agitating Princess Bloom and her friends, and stupidly racing and totaling his (Darko's) new car, mainly because he is trying to keep a low profile and keep the authorities from investigating them. He does not notice that Darko is more upset about not being asked if he was alright until he pointed it and mentions that Mazakis had bribe the authorities to keep this under wraps.
Mazakis has Kovar eliminate Icy.
Next he angrily scolds his son for asking for a new car and not growing up, quoting "have [I not] taught you anything?" Which is refuted by Darko because Mazakis did in fact, not teach him anything because he was always busy and neglected him. Mazakis angrily grab his son by the collar and provides his view: power requires hard work and it is this hard work that permitted Darko's lavish life style. As such, Darko is in no position to argue with him. He then reminds his son to be more careful and to stop involving himself with a simple waitress. This is when he learns that the waitress is Princess Bloom and by extension, that Magix has many princesses who come here to attend Alfea. This is good news to him because it means more power and better protection against his enemies. So he plans to have his son woo one. He decides to research these princesses to find the most beneficial ones and has Darko wait to do his part until he has completed said research.
Betrayed!
After Darko comes back to the estate, Mazakis starts listing out the princesses he wants Darko to target until he learns Icy had blackmailed his son to be hers (she has proof of Darko's antics). He excuses his son from his office and tells his butler to call for Kozar and his men to get rid of Icy. He tells Darko this and then goes back to work only for Kozar to betray him for better pay. He is about to get shot by Kozar but his butler saves him by knock the assailant unconscious.
Fleeing for another safer place.
By then, Mazakis realizes it is no longer safe in Magix and has his butler find Darko and quickly prepare everything to leave again. When his son finally returns he tells him this, gets in the limo and asks if his son will abandon him... Darko does not and joins his father, both leaving Magix.
