Perle (translation: Pearls) is an illustrated book published in 2009.
Synopsis[]
A few days before her birthday, Aisha mysteriously receives a necklace of black pearls as a gift. She asks her friends to join her in Andros to find out what is behind the gift. The fairies will have to return to the submarine kingdom to save Queen Ligea and her people from a terrible threat.
Plot[]
The story begins explaining that in order to have been allowed to find the last fairy of Earth, Aisha had promised to her father that from there on, all of her birthdays she would spent in Andros. With her birthday coming soon, Aisha and Milly departed to Andros as the Winx and the other pets stayed in Gardenia at the Love & Pet shop.
Aisha finishes talking on the "holophone" with Stella, and she notices that Milly was having trouble sleeping far from the other pets.

The next morning Aisha tests dozens of dresses with Cisò and Nanny's help, and picks one for the party. Nanny then shows Aisha the invitation she wrote to the Winx, as Aisha had forgotten.
In Gardenia, a seagull, that that had crossed many "interdimensional paths," reaches the fairy pets shop and delivers the invitation to the Winx. Flora helps the creature taking it to the infirmary, and when Stella offers her treatments, the seagull tries to run away. Tecna seeing the creature in poor state, comments that Aisha could had just phoned them instead. Bloom then says that it would not have been so surprising and exciting.
In Andros, Aisha, along Milly, takes a run on the beach and discovers a casket in the shape of a shell. Sensing something strange from the casket, Milly stays on guard and tries in vain to convince her owner. As Aisha was fascinated by the casket and thinking it could be a present from Ligea, she decides to take it with her. On the way to her bedroom, many decorations for the party starts becoming black, yet not playing much attention to it, Aisha reaches her room and opens the casket that reveals a necklace of black pearls. Just then, Stella phones her, tells her they would be there soon, and ask Aisha to count until sixty. In Gardenia, the Winx in Believix , use Zoomix and reach Andros just when Aisha was finishing counting.
After a welcome dinner prepared for the Winx, and the signal of consent from queen, at sunset, the Winx take Aisha to the beach where they had prepared a summer party with torches, bonfire, music, fruits, drinks and the fairy pets, that were waiting anxiously for them. Bloom had made the fire's sparks float and disperse like fireflies; Flora had placed hundreds of shells to make marine decorations; When the party started, Musa played the guitar until her fingertips got hurt; Bloom gently took the guitar from her, and began to strum softly. After some time, as Aisha wanted to thank them, Stella asked her what it was troubling her earlier when they talked on the phone. Aisha then told her everything, and the Winx decided to discover the mystery behind the black pearls necklace.
The next morning, Tecna that had stayed the whole night on her portable computer searching about the necklace, was showing Bloom what she discovered when they heard Stella and Aisha screaming. Both ran to them and found that a bouquet of pink roses in Stela's room and Milly white paws had turned black. Tecna then suggests going to the Acquarioteca, underwater, as the situation was starting to get out of their hands.

The Winx use Zoomix to reach the Acquarioteca, and transform themselves into mermaids (the book then quotes the previous book Sirene explaining the transformation was a gift granted by Ligea). Musa sings a magical lullaby to put the school of white sharks, that guarded the place, to sleep, and the girls begin search. Not long after, Bloom finds a book with Latin cover that translated to Enemies of Andros - Book of Secrets and had a prophecy related to the necklace. She then passes the book for Stella to read it aloud. As the book started talking how it detested when others would read him aloud, Stella launches the book away. The book continued nevertheless and explains about the prophecy, with Vires locked in Deleterium, her black pearls and Andros ending if no sacrifice comes.
Worried about the prophecy, the Winx went into Ligea's palace and, after being welcomed, they heard the news of the missing mermaids, that included Tala, Kalia and Nesia disappearance, and about Deleterium's illustrious female prisoner having escaped some time before all of this happened. Upon hearing the prisoner description Bloom realizes it is Vires, and Tecna shows Ligea a photo she took with her Mini-Shot of the book's picture of Vires. Ligea then has the impression of having seen that gaze before. After some thoughts, Tecna connects the information and reveals the discovery to the others, that: Vires transformed the mermaids into pearls and captures their vital energy.
Tecna suggests using her thermo-molecular analyzer of diffused heat to find Vires on the seabeds. Ligea, Tressa, an army of warrior mermaids, jellyfishes and barracudas, then prepared to go to war if it would happen. On the vicinity of the seabed were Vires could be, Bloom found her lair and the army surrounded the place.

Vires explains she is Ligea half-sister, daughters of King Eidonte, and that before she ran away from the palace after discovering that Ligea would be the heir to the throne, she used an oblivion spell on Ligea to forget about her. Ligea tried to come in good terms with her sister, but Vires and her tritons army attacks and the war began. Ligea calls others creatures from the sea to help and the Winx uses Believix spells on the battle. After many failing attempts of the Winx at hitting Vires, as a last maneuver to escape Bloom's spell, Vires grabs Tressa to use as shield, but before it hits the girl, Ligea throws herself in front of them and falls on the seabed. Then, all black pearls on Vires, detach themselves and start getting transformed back into mermaids, running away from Vires, that in her stead, gets transformed into a mollusk and disappears, back-washed in a whirlwind of water.
Back at the palace, now on the birthday party, Bloom explains to Stella that all is fine because Ligea sacrificed herself just how the prophecy said. Musa asked how Ligea was, and Flora explains that she had some few burns and excoriations, but thanks to Bloom's healing power she would recover in about ten days. Milly then appears with her paws black again, getting the Winx worried, when Bloom approaches and discover it is just chocolate.

Trivia[]
- Bloom's unnamed healing power of Believix could have been the Strength of Life, comparing from the spells description.
- From the Winx's fairy pets, only Milly, Chicko and Ginger names are mentioned. The other their images appear, yet they are called as just "pets," being unknown if Kiko was included in the pets as his image was not present in the book.
- Tecna's portable computer was not named, but it could be the Palmtop.
- Despite mentioning the "last fairy of earth," Roxy does not appear, neither her name is said.
- Specialist can be seen on the last pages, but they were not mentioned.
- As the book starts two nights before Aisha's birthday, and ends at the birthday, is possible that story goes from June 13 to June 15.
- On the page 53, the image of the Winx hitting Vires with their spell is contrary to the text that said she evaded all of their attacks.
- Many images from the book Sirene were reused in Perle.
- The image were the Winx attack the Kraken was edited removing the Kraken and replacing with Vires.
- In 2014, parts of both this book and Sirene were combined, and made into an interactive copy sold in CD form along with the Magic Ocean dolls. Entitled "Magic Ocean," the CD story's text is mostly based on Pearl, yet diverging in many things.
