Rai 2 is an Italian television network broadcast by Rai.
Overview[]
Rai 2 is one of the three main television channels broadcast by Italian public television company Rai alongside Rai 1 and Rai 3. Rai 2 first started broadcasting November 4, 1961 (after Rai 1). In the eighties it was known for its political affiliation to the Italian Socialist Party; in recent years it has shifted its focus toward talk shows, reality television, and infotainment.
Involvement in Winx Club[]
Rai 2 began airing Winx Club in January 2004. After airing Season 6 Episode 14, the channel stopped broadcasting the series and Rai Gulp took over.

- It was formerly known as "Secondo Programma" (1961–1975), "Rete 2" (1975–1983), and "Rai Due" (1983–2010).
- "Rai" stands for "Radiotelevisione italiana S.p.A."
