Magicland (formerly Rainbow Magicland) is a theme park owned by Pillarstone Italy. Despite its former name, the park was never owned or controlled by Rainbow SpA/Viacom, which only paid to license the Rainbow characters for a few of the park's rides.
The park was opened on 25th May 2011 and is located in Valmontone, near Rome. From 2011 to 2018, some of the attractions were based on Rainbow SpA shows, including Winx Club and Huntik. A replica of the Alfea castle could be found in the park during this time.
By 2019, all of the Rainbow SpA branding was removed from the park. According to the announcement, the Alfea castle will be replaced by a planetarium exhibit.[1]
Winx-themed Attractions
Alfea Castle
There was a replica of the Alfea Castle in Rainbow Magicland. It was designed and built exactly the same as it looks in the cartoon. The Winx girls (played by staff) usually stood on top of the stairs in their Believix outfits and sing Winx songs at certain periods of the day. Inside the Alfea Castle, there was a small Winx-themed gift shop. Right next to the stairs were two statues of Stella and Flora in their Believix forms. The shop was decorated with Winx statues.
Pianeta Winx
Pianeta Winx was an indoor dark ride where fans were guided through a few locations from the show. Like in the Alfea Castle, there were Winx statues throughout the ride.
