Rainbow S.p.A. (formerly known as Rainbow S.r.l.) is an Italian studio founded by Iginio Straffi. From 2011 until 2023, it was co-owned by Paramount Global, which also owns Nickelodeon. Rainbow has collaborated with Nickelodeon on several shows and pilots, including Winx Club, Club 57, My American Friend, and Crazy Block. Rainbow's book division, Tridimensional, releases books based on Rainbow shows, as well as original comic book series like Maya Fox.

Management[]

All of Rainbow's projects are managed by a board of directors. As of 2019, the known board members of Rainbow were:

  • Iginio Straffi
  • Joanne Lee: Iginio Straffi's wife and the senior vice president of Rainbow.[1] Bloom was partially based on her, according to Straffi. Joanne Lee met Iginio Straffi in the 1990s and she is from Singapore.
  • Pierluigi Gazzolo from Viacom: The president of Nickelodeon's international division. He was in charge of co-productions between Rainbow and Viacom/Nickelodeon, including Winx Club and Club 57 in 2019.[2]
  • Alexander Berkett from Viacom[3]
