Santa Monica is a place introduced in World of Winx.

Overview[]

A popular beach located in California, United States of America on Earth with a city nearby. A small Island, Mako Island, is located 10km (6.214 miles) from here.

World of Winx[]

Season 1[]

In "Dangerous Waters", the Winx (excluding Bloom who had been fired and currently on a mission with Roxy) and Lorelei arrive for another episode of Wow! and Ace greets them from the studio. Lorelei then takes over. She walks towards a crowd and greets them with her usual hyper self. The crowd reacts rather unimpressed, mostly shock. The Winx watch this and are called "assistants" by both Lorelei and Ace; this irritates them. As it turns out, it was Lorelei's idea to come here and Flora suggests telling her that they have not received any Dreamix vision but Stella rejects the idea as she finds this amusing.

Ace asks Lorelei what talent she has found and she said that it involves sand sculpting. Ace builds the suspense and when Lorelei reveals that it is a toddler, Ace is unimpressed. He hides this in front of Lorelei but he angrily confronts his assistant about who had hired her to which the assistant reminds him that it was him. Ace realizes he is still on the air, covers up his obvious irritation and has the studio go to commercial.

The camera drones are on standby and Lorelei taps one of them wondering why there is no response. Tecna tells her that they are on commercial. Lorelei snaps, saying that Ace is losing his touch and she should the host instead. This garners an angry expression from the Winx and Lorelei quickly backtracks on her words but still called them "assistants". Lorelei then hops off somewhere and Stella comes to cheer the girls up considering they are in California. It is not as fun as it should because Bloom is not with them.

Wow! is back on and Lorelei joyfully exclaims she has found another talent. The now hypnotized Ace does not hesitate to insult her which shocks the girls. He then sets up an extreme test for this Winx: kiteboarding to Mako Island and win against The Sharks. Lorelei is participating in this race and has prepared a speedboat for herself. The competition starts with The Sharks ahead of the Winx. The Sharks board dangerously close to the Winx but by following Aisha's lead, they get ahead of their opponents.

The Winx are nearly halfway to the finish line when Lorelei passes them in her speedboat only for it to breakdown. As Lorelei tries restarting the boat, she notices sharks circling around. She tries to calm herself down which ultimately fails and she starts panicking. The Winx are catching up to help her and Stella questions Ace's test because it is getting too dangerous. He disregards it and continues his psychotic behaviors. The sharks then start attacking the Winx but Aisha secretly uses her powers to make the waves push them away. Lorelei is still panicking and trying to restart the point.

Stella whispers to Flora that Ace is overstepping but Flora tells her that someone is controlling him and the sharks. Seeing the predicament, the girls quickly get to land. As Flora passes Lorelei, she ends up splashing Lorelei and the camera drones. The drones end up sinking into the ocean and therefore, visual feed is lost to the studio. After reaching land, Aisha uses her powers directly on the sharks to fend them away from Lorelei for good. But then, The Sharks reveal themselves to be undead pirates and the Winx transform to fight them which ultimately ends with the pirates escaping through a portal.

With that battle concluded, Lorelei (who is now rowing a life boat) catches them in their fairy forms and is overjoyed because it means that she can get them fired. She smugly calls Ace to reveal their secret but he does not believe her and ends up firing her. Angry, she throws her phone into the ocean but that does not stop her from using what she had discovered and will make it into movie, having high hopes it will make her famous. She rows away with a triumphant smile but the girls are glad that do not have to deal with her anymore.
