Production

On September 16, 2020, the Licensing Summit Online in Russia announced that Rainbow S.r.l. is working on Season 9 and it is scheduled to premiere in 2021-2022. It is also revealed that the season's format has been changed where it will be 52 episodes, 13-minutes of length each, instead of the usual "26 episodes, 22 minutes" format that have been used to for the past 208 episodes.

This is the first season to air in the 2020s decade.
This is the first season to be air in the new 52X13 format as opposed to the previous seasons which was aired in the 26X23 format.
- The episode's format also resembles those of the spin-off series, PopPixie.
