The shinygreed is a species of the Fairy Animal which appear in Season 7.

Overview[]

Large eagle-like birds with a particular attraction to shiny things, hence, their name. They also appear to like showing off their beauty and flair.

Appearance[]

They are very large birds, resembling an eagle. They have purple eye shadows and long eyelashes with a lilac beak. Their plumage is golden outside and light yellow inside. The inside plumage is decorated with pale purple details. The feathers on their head are yellow or orange while some parts are purple. There are collar-like purple. Their tail feathers are long and in golden color, with five chain-like decorative feathers in a gradient from purple to deep pink. Their legs and claws are magenta.

Season 7[]

Stella bonded with a shinygreed and named her Shiny who gave her a Tynix Bracelet to enter the MiniWorlds to restore balance. To defeat the Trix whom had gained the Ultimate Power near the end of Season 7, she and the other Winx's Fairy Animals, Critty, Flitter, Squonk, Amarok, and Elas, used the Ultimate Spell and formed the Infinity Swan. Sadly, after they used it, she will not be able to see Stella and vise versa ever again.

Magical Abilities[]

One particular Shinygreed - Shiny - can withstand the darkness, for she can produce sunlight herself and can thus, shoot rays of sunlight. In the MiniWorlds, it was shown that she can heal Stella via sunlight, and she can disenchant any darkness with it.

Trivia[]

The name "Shinygreed" is a blend of "shiny" and "greed", which fits for Shiny's obsession with shiny things.
- In Italian, the species name is Splendavido being a portmanteau of Splendid (Splendido) and Greedy (avido).
So far, Shiny is the only shinygreed to be shown in the series.
