Snake Rats are magical creatures introduced in Season 1.

Overview

Snake Rats are swamp creatures of the disgustabilus genus that eat toads.

Appearance

Snake Rats have four legs, four webbed feet, and a segmented tail. Snake Rats have fins above their forelegs and a fin going vertically from their head to the base of their tail. Snake Rats also have a set of jagged teeth, two eyes, and a snout.

Season 1

In "Alfea College for Fairies," the Trix turn the enchanted eggs the Red Fountain Specialists are going to give the fairies of Alfea into Snake Rat eggs. Overhearing their spell, Bloom warns the Winx about their plan. Tecna then researches Snake Rats via a projection from the palm of her hand. Before the gifts are distributed to the fairies, the Winx cast a counter spell, restoring the enchanted eggs.

In "The Secrets of Alfea," the Trix turn the enchanted eggs the Red Fountain Specialists are going to give the fairies of Alfea into Snake Rat eggs. Overhearing their spell, Bloom confronts the Trix in the Magical Labyrinth they are in. The Trix then begin to attack her with spells. Bloom manages to escape their grasp and make her way out of the labyrinth with the magic thread. Then, Bloom warns the Winx about the Trix's plan. Before the gifts are distributed to the fairies, the Winx cast a counterspell, restoring the enchanted eggs. Later, as the Trix try to find the door that leads out of the labyrinth, they open a door revealing the Snake Rats the Winx had displaced with their counterspell. The Trix run as the Snake Rats chase them.
