The Star Case is a magical object introduced in Season 8.
Overview
The Star Case is a magical object which contains the essence of the Wishing Star. Whenever the Wishing Star splits her essence, she is herself split into the Star Case and the seven Prime Stars which must be inserted into the Star Case to make the Wishing Star form again[1]. The case gives the Winx riddles to find each star.
Within the Star Case is another dimension which can be accessed through magical means, similar to a MiniWorld, and from where the Star Compass required to find the Prime Stars can be obtained[1]. The case gives the Winx a riddle to find it. There is a music box in this world, inside of which a room with its gears can be found. The Star Case also contains a maze room and a room with slides.
Appearance
The Star Case is a glittering ("star-dusted") golden box in the shape of a seven pointed star with magenta-purple lining all around. It also has a spot in the center where the Star Compass can be placed, as well as the seven spots for the seven Prime Stars to be plugged in.
Winx Club
Season 8
The Star Case forms after the Wishing Star splits her essence.
The Wishing Star splits her essence while being attacked by the Trix, with the Star Case landing in Lumenia and chasing Twinkly. Twinkly travels to Alfea to alert the Winx that they need to see Queen Dorana in Lumenia. She informs them about the case, explaining that the Winx will have to get the Star Compass to find and acquire the seven Prime Stars. Stella attempts to open it, but sees that she cannot. Bloom then realized that they will have to go inside using their Enchantix miniaturization power. Once the Star Compass is obtained by the Winx, the case alerts them at different times where all the Prime Stars are, and gives clues on how to obtain them.
Trivia
- The Star Case has similarities to Sirenix Boxes:
- Both are magical artifacts in the shape of a golden star.
- It is necessary to insert smaller magical objects at each end of both artifacts (the Gems of Self-Confidence, Empathy and Courage for the Sirenix Boxes and the Seven Prime Stars for the Star Case).
- After both objects are complete, an entity is invoked from both (Omnia and the Wishing Star).
- The Star Case is voiced by the Wishing Star.
