Sun

The Sun is a star that debuts in Season 8.

Overview

It is the star that lights the Earth. It is home to the Earthling Lumens.

Society

In general the Lumens which reside on this star appear to be courageous and tough, though can be intimated by obviously dangerous threats which can easily overpower them. Lumens on this star can shoot offensive energy beams with their fencing swords as a form of defense.

Series

Season 8

In "Surprise Party on Earth"' Valtor summons many Staryummies to attack the core. Though they join into Starchomps, they still undergo retaliation until they form into the Megachomp which quickly intimidate the Sun's Lumens before punching and swallowing the star core. The Winx try to defeat it though it proves resistant to their attacks.

In "Valtor's Shadow", they continue to engage in combat with the Winx, though Tecna's attacks manage to split them back into their composite Starchomps which retreat into shadow portals. At the same time, the Sun's energy gets released though without it's core. The Winx do their best to contain it's energy so it does not escape, though they struggle to do so. In seeing this, Bloom relinquishes her Cosmix power to Valtor, though it rejects him and returns itself to her. She joins the others to retain the magic until Orion's ship gives them an empty star core prototype to fill with magic. Their plan works, and the Star shines once again.
