Plot[]
In the morning of a new school day, Headmistress Griffin is seen walking down the school halls, approaching the Trix. She begins asking them for clarifications as to why they were in the forest, their reasons for the continuous disobedience in the recent times, and most importantly, their reasons for their interest in Bloom. Icy then tells Griffin Bloom is just bad news, before Griffin responds with that bad students are her concern, not the Trix's. As their punishment, Headmistress Griffin decides to temporarily take Trix's powers away from them in the mean time, hoping that would bring their tempers down.
Later in class, Bloom is seen trying to synchronize the potion's magic with her, which ends up being successful, despite the Trix's wish of her methods escalating and going wrong. With everything going well for Bloom in the recent times, the Trix end up speculating how to get her Dragon's Flame before she ends up fully grasping the control of it. Once the class ends, the Winx are seen walking down the school halls, talking about the upcoming concert Musa will be holding in Magixia in the upcoming days. As Stella mentions the concert being a party, Aisha begins to suddenly hip-hop dance in the school halls, impressing her peers and her girlfriends. Flora wonders and asks Aisha why she has never showed anyone her dance talents, with Aisha responding that her parents would not allow hip-hop dancing, as it does not fit the image of a well-put princess leading a kingdom. She then pleads Bloom and her other friends to not mention anything about her passion for hip-hop dancing to her parents.
In the Trix's hideout, Vexius is seen visibly being angry at the Trix and Damien for the continuous attempts of failure they have had whilst trying to capture Bloom's power, the Dragon's Flame. Annoyed by his remarks, Stormy mentions to him that if it bothers him that much, he should take the matter in his own hands. After telling Stormy that he can't risk being seen, an Idea pops up in Vexius' head; if they bring Bloom into their side, they could spare themselves the hassle of taking her power away and have her be their weapon.
Meanwhile, Bloom and Aisha are walking side-by-side. Aisha announces to Bloom that her parents are arriving soon, before taking off to meet them. As Aisha takes off, Damien is seen at the school gate, waving his hands in distress, calling for help as beasts have come out of their cage. Wanting to help him, Bloom follows him into the stall where the Changelings are kept in place, but to her confusion, she finds them all still in their pens. Perplexed, Bloom sees and hears Damien beckoning her to come in further inside of the stall. Upon doing this, the door behind her shuts and darkness swarms all around her. Vexius appears before her, though she can't make out his appearance. In a matter of time, Vexius casts a spell that could make anyone's heart dark; giving birth to Dark Bloom, a version of Bloom that resembles the appearance of a witch. Vexius then gives the Trix the objective to guide Bloom further into her now dark life.
As all of this happens, Aisha's parents King Teredor and Queen Niobe are seen being accompanied by their daughter Aisha, who is giving them an overall tour of the school. As they are leaving in to the courtyard, Aisha spots a boy doing various hip-hop moves, being impressed by his dance skills. Though Aisha's parents think otherwise, as they recognize the boy being Lord Pontiff's son. Shortly afterwards, a surprising scene unfolds before Aisha's eyes as she sees Bloom with a completely different outfit and being willingly surrounded by the Trix. Unbeknownst to Aisha that Bloom has gotten spelled, she asks her if everything's alright and why she is surrounding herself with the Trix. Dark Bloom takes this opportunity to tease Aisha in front of her parents; she then voices a proverb including the word "dancing". Perplexed by her word choice in the proverb, Queen Niobe begs Aisha for clarifications. Aisha then hastily and nervously makes an excuse, before alerting the other Winx about the sudden change Bloom has gotten into herself via her smart-watch.
In Alfea's hallways, Bloom is purposely bumping herself into the other students away whilst snickering rude comments. As she bumps into someone in front of Sky and Diaspro, Diaspro comments that Bloom's behavior is rude, before Bloom casts a spell on her that plasters ash onto her face. In disbelief due to Bloom's actions, Sky asks Dark Bloom her reasoning for her rude behavior, though dark Bloom takes this opportunity to voice mean comments onto Sky, calling him a "A perfect Mommy's Boy" and calling his girlfriend "a bad friend" before making her leave. As the Winx witness this scene unfold in her eyes, Bloom then voices further mean comments onto her friends. Unexpectedly, her temper against the Trix reaches its limits, as Dark Bloom also voices her hatred and mean comments against them, resulting in the Trix losing control over their new weapon; Dark Bloom.
Convinced they can change Bloom, the Winx approach Dark Bloom, telling her that she is under a spell and that she is not the person she was once before. Dark Bloom tells them that this is her new self. Shortly afterwards, the Winx try to physically pull Bloom into the Faragonda's office. In disbelief of their actions and feeling unsafe, Dark Bloom transforms with the other Winx following the suit. The battle, however, does not end in the Winx's favor, as Dark Bloom's power is much stronger and shows a large sized Dark Dragon floating around her.
Noticing this dragon, Robin secretly takes a recording of it with her smartphone before leaving the scene. As Dark Bloom reflects Musa's Sonic Shield attack, she knocks Musa down. With Musa down, Dark Bloom approaches her with the intent to harm Musa, when suddenly she hears a calm voice telling her to search for the light that still emits inside of her, making her hesitate to finish Musa off. Tecna notices this and comments that the normal Bloom is still inside of her. They then share words of encouragement to Dark Bloom, causing her to de-transform.
As Headmistress Faragonda and Headmistress Griffin arrive at the now-over battle scene, they bring the Winx and the Trix into their office, demanding for a reasonable explanation for the ruckus that has been caused on the school's premises. The Winx put the blame on the Trix, though Headmistress Griffin shuts these claims down by stating that the Trix's powers have been taken away from them and adding that the dark magic that caused this transformation on Bloom is far greater than the dark magic possessed by a regular witch. Headmistress Faragonda then speculates for the culprit behind casting such dark magic onto Bloom. The Trix are then let free to leave the office, with Faragonda and Griffin guiding them with the necessary steps to undo this spell on Dark Bloom, which consist of chanting "Lux Dominatur Noctem" and remembering the sweet bonding memories they have of Bloom. In a matter of time, the spell succeeds, reverting Bloom back into the self she once was.
In the dorm room, Bloom apologizes to the girls for her actions and asks for clarifications as to how she acted whilst under spell. Tecna then mentions that she also has to apologise to all the other students she has tormented, including Sky and his girlfriend Diaspro. Meanwhile Vexius is venting his anger onto the Trix for failing another plan yet again, stating that they are as useless as Damien. Accepting that the Trix and Damien are now of no use, Vexius swears to take matters into his own hands before disappearing in front of them.
Unable how to deal with her feelings, Musa mentions to Bloom the idea of writing her thoughts down as lyrics and making a song of them, she then turns on music, making a sudden dance party take place in the Winx's dorm room. Though this dance party would soon meet an awkward end as Aisha's parents King Teredor and Queen Niobe walk in on the surprising scene of Aisha hip-hop dancing. Feeling utterly angry at Aisha's behavior, they begin to lecture Aisha on her actions, mentioning how they are not suitable for a princess that inspires her Kingdom. Headmistress Faragonda happens to then walk by their dorm room and indirectly eavesdrops on the situation with Aisha and her parents. The Headmistress Faragonda explains that every talented person in the magical dimension has many interests and that Alfea welcomes and embraces all sorts of new concepts for the students to take.
Satisfied with the Headmistress' reasoning, Aisha's parents accept her interest in hip-hop dancing, despite not being fond of it. Some time later, Robin enters Headmistress Faragonda's office, showing her the video she captured of Dark Bloom during the battle. Surprised but expecting it, the Headmistress' suspicion of Bloom holding the Dragon's Flame comes to a positive note. She then warns Robin that the odds that the other dark forces know about Bloom's Dragon Flames are high and that they should take caution.
