The Gold of Venafro[]
Scene: Mission Control Room[]
Flora: The voice. It's saying there's a treasure like no other hidden in a place called "Venafro".
Stella: A treasure? Diamonds. Emeralds. Rubies. What are we waiting for?!
Tecna: This is the town of Venafro.
Flora: Beautiful! Look at that little lake and those olive trees!
Tecna: Its origins date back to the time of the Samnite, one of the ancient Italic peoples.
Bloom: Here we go! A castle!
Stella: If there's a treasure, it's gotta be there! Adventure time, girls!
Scene: Venafro[]
- Flora, Bloom, and Stella heads to Venafro*
Bloom: Everything is so peaceful here.
Stella: Peace. Quiet. And fresh air.
Bloom: There's the castle!
Stella: Oh.
- They land on the Castle Pandone and make a tour. Flora opens holograms from her wristwatch*
Flora: Francesco Pandone got the castle as a gift from king Alfonso of Aragon in 1443 after fighting to save the kingdom of Naples.
Stella: Castles! Kings! I can't wait! Sapphires, here we come.
Bloom: The ceilings are amazing but no sign of treasure.
Stella: There's nothing here, either.
Flora: The paintings are really something though.
Bloom: Wow! The horses are all... actual size!
Stella: Yeah. Okay, the frescoes are super but... where are the diamonds?
Flora: Enrico Pandone was the count of Venafro in the 1500s and he loved horses.
Bloom: I'm beginning to think there's no treasure here.
Flora: Maybe you're right. Come and read this. Count Pandone loves to take his horses through the ancient olive groves that surround the town.
Bloom: The olive trees were praised by Latin poets, who called their fruit and their magnificent oil "the gold of the Earth" for its quality.
Stella: A true treasure? Ugh! So not even one teeny tiny topaz?
Flora: Let's go. The treasure is in the Olive Tree Regional Park.
- They head to the Park*
Flora: This was the first ever olive grove to be declared a protected area.
Stella: Unbelievable! These trees are hundreds of years old!
Bloom: And the grove goes from here to the mountains.
Stella: Okay, this place is better than the halls of any palace or castle. It's spectacular.
- They start touring the Park*
Stella: Maybe the gem is on one of these branches?
Flora: Then it'll take us forever to find it! What it will take is patience. Did you know these olives are picked one by one to properly care for the trees?
Stella: Tell me you're kidding!
Flora: Come on, let's get to work!
- After searching for a while, they land near an olive tree*
Bloom: Haizz no luck!
Flora: There's only one tree left.
- It's the tree next to Flora*
Stella: Maybe you didn't hear the voice right?
Flora: No. I'm sure this is what the voice was talking about. A treasure like no other.
- Bloom touches the tree like Flora. They hear a strange sound*
Flora: Come on!
- Stella comes to Bloom and Flora*
Flora: Show us the gold of the Earth!
- A blue gem is dropped right to Stella's hand*
Stella: The gem!
- The magical barrier is activated*
Flora: We did it, girls!
Stella: Thanks to you, Flora.
Flora: No. Thanks to the trees.
Bloom: Maybe now we can taste some of this world famous extra virgin olive oil.
- The girl leave the Park*
Flora: Its golden color is supposed to be better than any jewel!
Stella: Wait a minute. What if we found a way to turn Venafro's oil into jewelry?
- All laugh*
Scene: Mission Control Room[]
Stella: If you bring up treasure, everyone thinks of diamonds, doubloons, jewels.
Flora: But the real riches come from the Earth.
Bloom: That's right!
- She puts the newfound gem to the orb*
Musa: We're almost halfway there!
Stella: The voice! It's telling me something!
Bloom: Okay, Winx, are you ready for our next adventure?
