"The Magix Rainbow" is the nineteenth episode of the seventh season of Winx Club.
Synopsis[]
As an important ball is taking place at Domino Castle, Kalshara and Brafilius are at Graynor Ruins to catch the Creature with the Rainbow Coat, in order to absorb its magic power.

After Kalshara tries to steal the magic from the Creature of the Rainbow Mantle, the Winx enter the Rainbow MiniWorld to restore the magical balance.
Plot[]
Kalshara steals a magical collar.
On Oppositus, Brafilius kidnaps a lion cub and is pursued by the guards. He is essentially cornered by them. Not to mention, the lion cub's understandable refusal to cooperate with him. Kalshara rescues Brafilius again and when the lion cub is analyzed by the Dark Diamond, it is revealed to not be the animal they are looking for. Kalshara is annoyed that their mission was another waste of time, that is until lion cub's magic collar beeps. Knowing its usefulness, she takes the magic collar then sets the lion cub free. The guards are now nearing them. Kalshara transforms into an eagle and escape with Brafilius to Graynor.

On Graynor, Kalshara and Brafilius end up at the Graynor Ruins where both wild magic and fairy magic exist in harmony with one another. The rainbow is fairy magic whereas the lake water is wild magic. This is a strange phenomenon but they exist harmoniously due to the Creature of the Rainbow Mantle, who maintains this balance. Kalshara wants his power and uses the magical collar from Oppositus on him. However, Kalshara is unable to harness the Creature's power, and wild magic and fairy magic, their behaviors have also changed... Wild magic has trapped the Creature in a cage. And the rainbow's colors begin mixing together and from the lake, emerges worms.

On Domino in its royal palace, the party that is being held is going smoothly after the fairy animals' introduction. But Roxy alerts Bloom of Graynor's problem, she then tells her friends. They transform and teleport with their fairy animals to the Graynor Ruins.
The imbalance between wild magic and fairy magic.
The Winx and their fairy animals split into pairs and deal with the worms from the lake. Musa and Bloom try to free the Creature of Rainbow Mantle from his cage but fail. The Creature explains why, he is the guardian of Fairy Magic and the worms are the guardians of Wild Magic. They are not opposing magics (which is why the Oppositus collar did not work), however, it does not explain why the worms are free to move about, while the Creature is trapped. Musa inquires about this and the Creatures explains that Kalshara had put the collar on him, blocking his powers and rendering him unable to maintain the balance between the two magics. This allows wild magic to gain the advantage over fairy magic.

The Winx enter the Rainbow MiniWorld to try and resolve this. Upon entering the MiniWorld with their Tynix powers, Musa and Critty begin to suffer headaches from disharmonious sounds the furries are making as they clash into each other. Their friends find the furries adorable as they move about their world until the two point out the disharmonious sounds. They listen close and realize what Musa and Critty are hearing.

They then encounter the Queen of the Rainbow MiniWorld, Rebell. The Winx offer their assistance and Rebell leads them to the source of the problem: the entanglement of the seven color sphere. As the disharmony gets worse, Musa and Critty get weaker. If this disharmony is not fixed, fairy magic will cease to exist. Musa and Critty are the only ones who can locate the source of the disharmony, so they decide to fix the problem and push through the disharmony despite their friends' concerns.
Despite the suffering from the disharmony, Musa is determined to fix the problem.
As the two near the seven color sphere, the disharmonious sounds become stronger. Critty struggled greatly but Musa's encourage pushes her through. To muffle the disharmonious sounds, Musa begins to sing, which creates a sound barrier and allows her and Critty to get closer to the sphere. She uses her special fairy animal convergence spell, Harmony of the Quillcat on the sphere and with much difficulty is able to restore the harmony and de-tangle the magic ribbons. The Rainbow MiniWorld is saved as is fairy magic. Rebell expresses her gratitude.

In the real world, the rainbow is restored, the worms retreat back into the lake, and the Creature of the Rainbow Mantle is set free. When the Winx return, they are pleased to see everything had returned to normal. They check up on the Creature and he offers his assistance as thanks for saving him and mostly importantly, fairy magic. Bloom then asks about the fairy animal with the Ultimate Power. Kalshara and Brafilius, who were hiding in the bushes after the magic explosion forced them back, eavesdrop on the question.
The core is saved and so is fairy magic.
The Creature uses his oracle power and tells them that the ultimate power is closely related to fairy power. The Winx and their fairy animals are unsure what to make of this. But Kalshara knows exactly what to do: capture the Winx's fairy animals to gain access to the Ultimate Power.

- The Winx's fairy animals are introduced to Domino and to an extent, the whole magical community.
- Kalshara puts the Oppositus collar on the Creature of the Rainbow Mantle but instead of acquiring his powers, she disrupts the balance between wild magic and fairy magic.
- The Creature of the Rainbow is imprisoned in a magical cage by wild magic.
- It is revealed that the Creature of the Rainbow Mantle is the guardian of fairy magic and the worms are the guardians of wild magic. The Creature is also responsible in maintaining the balance between the two.
- Fairy magic will cease to exist if the seven color sphere of Rainbow MiniWorld is not de-tangled.
- Musa and Critty are able to de-tangle the seven color sphere and restore harmony, thus saving fairy magic.
- It is revealed that the fairy animal with Ultimate Power is closely related to fairy magic. This clue is also revealed to Kalshara, unbeknownst to the Winx, and she believes that capturing the Winx's fairy animals will be the key to access the Ultimate Power.

- In the Italian dub, when the Winx transform into Tynix fairies, Bloom did not say "Magic Winx, Tynix" while in the English dub, she did.
- This is the first time Kalshara spoke while in eagle form.
Mistakes[]
- In the Italian dub, the episode title is "L'arcobaleno di Magic", but when the narrator says the title, she said "Magix", the title was possibly incorrectly produced.
